This delightful beach is only 5 km from Kuantan. Two world-class hotels are located here. Teluk Cempedak (a.k.a. T.C.) is an excellent beach for sailing, surfing, jet-skiing and sunbathing. Souvenir and handicraft shops are all within walking distance. Beyond the main beach, there are excluded bathing spots. Ardent sun-lovers can jungle-trek through the T.C. Forest Reserve into idyllic Pelindung beach. An alternative route will lead you to the Teruntum Park which has a mini zoo-children and adults alike will have fun and relaxation. Close by is the Royal Golf Club for golf enthusiasts.

Balok beach is about 15km north of Kuantan & is a paradise for avid wind-surfers. Most of the activities revolve around the many international class resorts & hotels located at the beach. Truly perfect & serene with soothing tropical breezes, swaying casuarinas, unending white sand in harmony with the azure blue sea.

Beserah is a fishing village and is well-known for salted fish. It is situated 10km from Kuantan. A batik factory and many cottage handicraft workshops producing items made mostly of sea shells and local plant materials (dried nuts, leaves) can be found in Beserah. At the parking bay, there are some Malay eateries.
Situated 47 km from Kuantan, the beach here extends as far as the eye can see, and is the perfect destination for swimming and picnics. Cherating also offers the chance to visit a number of handicraft shops where batik painting and souvenirs woven from pandanus leaves are on sale.
